Refund and Cancellation Policy

We, YouMedico, deeply value your trust and the faith you place in our platform as well as the professionals we connect you with. We understand that life happens and situations might arise that complicate the scheduling and keeping of appointments. As such, we are committed to offering a fair and transparent policy that respects the rights and expectations of all parties involved, regarding cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and refunds.

Cancellations by Patients

We recognize that unforeseen circumstances may necessitate the cancellation of an appointment. Here is our cancellation policy:

1.1. In instances where the appointment is canceled more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, no cancellation fee will be charged.

1.2. Should the appointment be canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, a cancellation fee amounting to 50% of the visit price will apply. Half of this amount will be remitted to the specialist to compensate for their time reserved for the appointment.

Rescheduling by Patients

We acknowledge that there might be instances where rescheduling an appointment is necessary. Our policy is as follows:

2.1. Patients are allowed to reschedule an appointment without incurring any charge if it is done more than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

2.2. However, if the appointment is rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment time, a rescheduling fee in the amount of 20% will be charged. Half of this amount will be remitted to the specialist to compensate for their time reserved for the appointment.

No-Shows

A no-show is defined as a failure by the patient to appear for a scheduled appointment without prior notice of cancellation. Our no-show policy is:

3.1. In the event of a no-show, the patient will be charged the full visit price. The entire amount will be paid to the specialist, reflecting the rate of the doctor's services.

Specialist Cancellations

Specialists on our platform are also expected to adhere to cancellation and rescheduling guidelines:

4.1. Specialists have the discretion to cancel appointments up to 12 hours before the scheduled visit time.

4.2. If a specialist fails to show up within 10 minutes of the scheduled appointment, the patient will not incur any charge for the visit.

Refund Procedures

When applicable, refunds will be processed using the same payment method that was utilized during the initial booking. The processing period for refunds may vary depending on your payment provider.

Disputes

In the event of any disagreements with a charge made to your account, we ask that you contact us within 14 days of receiving your billing statement. We pledge to address and resolve all disputes promptly and fairly.

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. We will inform you of any changes by posting the updated policy on our platform. Your continued usage of our platform following the enactment of these changes is construed as acceptance of the revisions. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for updates.
